Hello there. I just completed a custom album. The client wanted it as a gift for her friend who is getting married shortly. I got to work with the pictures too and enjoyed seeing the album ‘come to life’. I’m sharing some pictures here. The client was OK with putting these pictures on the blog. Please do not do not copy or share these due to the personal nature of the photographs.
It is a 6×8 inch album and I used Melissa Frances ‘5th Avenue’ papers. I did a coordinating gift bag for the album.

The front says Live Laugh Love and I must admit it took me a long time to get it done. I stamped LOVE on a piece of paper, placed it behind a Tim Holtz ornate frame and applied glossy accents to the LOVE part.

The Flower pattern, on the right part of the cover, was too pretty to cover. I applied ‘Diamond Dust’ to Flowers and Leaves. It twinkles beautifully and also gives some dimension.

The first spread with an acetate pocket on the left page. It allows for both the picture and the beautiful paper to show through. Added a little tag for jotting down something albout the picture.

The girls had a lot of memories from time spent in London earlier this year and so the Title London 2013. I used a couple of nesting label dies to cut out the picture and the mat.

This is the second spread. Again the paper is so beautiful and I had to let some of it show. A small pocket on the let side holds 2 double-sided tags with pictures on one side and space for journaling on the other

The client wanted ‘drama queen’ incorporated in the album and so the caption and the cute little crown for the ‘queen’.

This page has a pocket on the right side which holds a double sided tag. you can see the tab peeping out from the pocket. ‘Posing Pretty’ seemed like an appropriate caption for this photo as well as the ones on the tag inside the pocket

Some handmade flowers with mulbery roses in the center and glitter accents.

Butterflies

More flowers.

This is the last spread. I did a diagonal pocket on the left page but ended not putting anything inside it. I felt the pictures were looking really pretty without adding any embellishments. The only embellishment is a wooden banner (from a Prima wood tickets pack). I painted it with pink acrylic paint and stuck a sticker ‘Remember’ onto it. I don’t like these banners as they come and this is the first time I used one after after altering.

I love how the last page turned out. I adhered a 6×6 paper (from the coordinating 6×6 pack). it has a circle frame printed on it. I cut both the photograph and a photo mat using some circle dies to emphasize the paper design. And of course the quintessential flowers, swirls and butterflies.

This is the album back. The picture quality is not awesome. I took these pictures around noon and there is a lot of glare from the acetate covering the pictue . The photo here is covered with acetate to protect it as the album usually rests on its back. I bordered it with double-sided tape and applied black glitter. Looks much nicer in real life.

Hope you enjoyed the post
