Today I want to share with you an ‘Awesome’ album. I used ‘Simple Stories’ ‘Awesome’ collection for this 6×6 mini.

On the  cover  I used a piece from a 12×12 element sheet. Simple Stories collections have a lot of ‘Element’ sheets with 4×6, 6×8, 4×4 and 3×4 inch elements which make life easy. I used stitching to accent the main piece. A couple of tim Holtz gears, and a  diecut star with a vintage button are the only embellishments I have used here. The scraps adorning the rings are from my son’s old shirts.

Inside front cover has another piece from a 12×12 element sheet, 2 diecut gears and a border sticker on the left.

Page 2 has a pocket that hold a double-sided tag. I’ve stamped ‘you’re a rock’ to go with the stars on the tag.

The next page has an acetate pocket holding 2 double-sided tags and embellished with punched out stars

Some stamping and a couple of vintage buttons embellish the page with a diecut photo mat on the next page.

A double pocket with a lot of inserts.

Lots of space for pictures and journaling on this page

An accordian fold for more photos and journaling. Used stamping for titles.

And the back.

Hi everyone. Back with a mini as promised. This mini has an interesting history. While placing one of my orders I fell in love with this collection, ‘Fern Forest’ by WRMK. So I got a 6×6 pad, a co-ordinating sticker sheet and a pack of clear cuts.

I usually find it rather difficult to use premade embellishment in my albums. I vowed to myself to use up both packs of embellishments in this album. And I did manage to do that although a couple of pieces are still lying around.

I usually use a paper with small pattern for the cover. I used the magenta paper.  I wanted to use the  ‘Fairy’ from the clear cuts pack on the front cover. But I realized the fairy wasn’t looking good on the magenta paper and that I needed a light colored paper for this purpose and so the white patterned paper made its way to the cover. The banner’magical’ came from the sticker sheet. It took me a while to get the ‘MOMENTS’ part right. These are blingy alphas that I got at accessorize.  The two smaller banners on the top also came from the sticker sheet. I stamped ‘timeless’ and ‘beautiful’ as I thought it would go nicely with the rest of the title. Some clear cut stars at the bottom and the cover was done.

The first spread has a frame (from clear cuts which I backed on paper) behind which a picture can be slided. The second page has an acetate pocket holding 3 tags. used some clips from my stash for these.

i love this spread. Such a pretty paper with the little fairy. Using the same paper on both pages in a staggered manner does emphasize the paper pattern. I stamped ‘little girls have a magic of their own’ on a piece of paper and layered it on a magenta piece.. Apart from that the embellishments came from the packs I mentioned before.

Hope you enjoyed the post.

Cute Buttons just in.
