Well I’d hoped to post regularly while de-stashing my scrap bin. But couldn’t get round to taking pictures earlier. I have been making tags with ‘Prima Mixed Media Doll’ stamps by Julie Nutting. I have 6 of those and I managed to make a tag with each. Needless to say I haven’t succeeded in de-stashing my scrap bin to any significant extent. But I did try. Anyways here are the tags.

This lady here is from the ‘Strapless Dress Doll’ stamp. The paper is from ‘Fab Scraps’. I did an ‘Etcetra’ kit, Love Letters with these papers and had some left overs. I kept this tag simple because the papers are lovely and the background one a bit busy; and also I had done a lot of detail with the other tags so wanted some change not to mention less work. Used Martha stewart Lace Heart edger for the black trim. Added Tim Holtz distress stickles (I think fired brick) on the hearts and her crown.

This tag here was done with the ‘Swing Dress’ stamp. Paper leftovers are from a layout I did with the ‘Country Garden’ collection by Bo Bunny. The butterflies were also among the scraps so this tag did come together rather quickly. I stamped ‘one of a kind’, cut out the individual words and layered them onto paper.

I love the way this one turned out. I wanted to keep it very soft and delicate without sharp contrasts and large embellishments. The scraps are from and album I did with ‘Pixie Glen’ papers by Prima. I absolutely love these papers. I fussy cut the floral vine on the left side and used some of the flowers to add accents to the girls hair and waist. The lace on top is from my stash. I also added a frill of the same lace at the lower edge but you can’t see it in the picture. And the alpha’s are from Prima,; I layered them onto charcoal grey cardstock.

Onto Tag 4 which was done with ‘Pocket Dress’ doll stamp. Scraps from ‘Fabulous’ by simple stories. I have done 3 albums and some other stuff with this collection and I still have some stashed up. Stamped banner, alpha stickers, punch outs, a diecut doily and a generous Rafia bow completed the tag.

Used ‘Bolero Sweater’ doll for this tag. Again a banner and a doily in addition to some Prima flowers, some washi, adhesive lace, stamped scallop border, a mini bottlecap and a brad was used to complete this tag. The papers are from a MME paper pad (forgotten the name).

And finally the last tag was done with the Ruffle Dress doll stamp. isn’t she adorable? Paper from ‘THe Girls Paperie’, banner, doily, stamping and pearls and some tulle at the top

Let me know what you think.

Today I did a couple of tags with scraps from my scrap bin. I was going to use kraft cardstock for the tags but then I spotted some packaging I had kept as I could see lovely corrugated sheet peeking from where the outer paper layer had been torn. So I removed the paper and die-cut 2 large tags. I then smeared some white acrylic paint on the margins.

For this tag I used scraps from Prima ‘Almanac’ collection. The stamp is from Lawn Fawn. The lace is from my ‘lace stash’.

For the second tag I used some scraps from Maja Designs ‘Vintage spring’ collection. Added some lace, seam binding and tiny pearls. Sentiment Stamp is from Tim Holtz.

Today I did a card with some scraps from ‘Lost and Found’ collection by MME. Used another set of stamps that has been lying idle for some time.

The flowers and the leaves on the large flower as well as the ‘grass’ at the bottom are stamp images. The sun and flowers stems were  doodled free-hand. Added some washi tape and a stamped sentiment to finish it off.

Hello everyone. Hope you had a good holiday.

I am on a ‘scrap’ utilization spree right now. Whenever I finish a project I put the excess bits and pieces in a clear bag and put it in the box holding my scrap stash. I had some scraps left over from a scrapbook that I had made using Melissa Francess ‘5th avenue’ papers. I made an A4 size collage from the scraps.

I stamped a ‘zig zag stitch’ in walnut stain where the edges of  two paper scraps met. Added some stamping in white acrylic and walnut stain. I have this large doily that came with a gift. It is a bit tattered but I couldn’t throw it away. I finally used little pieces from this and one other doily to the collage. Then I added some washi tape. Once I had my collage sheet I diecut some tags out of it. Let me know what you think of it.

Hello everyone. Hope you had a good time at Eid.

Today I am sharing with you a 12×12 layout that I did for my ‘grand nephew’ who is 1 month old.

I have used papers from ‘Vintage Spring’  collection by Maja Designs. The outcome is quite different from what I had in mind.  Baby stroller, clothesline, baby giraffe and so on. I spotted ‘Dylusions’ stamps that I have had for some time.  So I went on a stamping spree and made a ton of flowers and birdies and banners. The clothesline was replaced with a banner the giraffe gave way to some cute birdies and the result is below.

The papers are so soft one needs to be gentle with them. I added some stitching detail,  and roughened the edges  but didn’t apply any distress ink. Spelled ‘PRECIOUS’ with some corrugated white stickers.

Hope you enjoyed.

By now you know all about ‘Et Cetra’, the kits I am putting together for paper crafters. Khadija from D Creations has made a lovely Journal with one of the Et Cetra kit ‘Love Letters. When I put these kits together I just follow a general idea or theme. I have no idea, at that time, what an individual will do with a kit. It is very rewarding to see something concrete made out of bits and pieces. And in my humble opinion Khadija’s rendition is absolutely brilliant.

Anyways, with Khadija’s permission I’m sharing some photos of the journal she  put together.

Hope you enjoyed Khadija’s Journal
