Surely, all of you have heard about Tim Holtz, Creative Director for Rangers Industries, and the amazing range of products that he has introduced – the entire distress line, layering stencils, dies, etc. (By the way, you can now buy these locally from the Artful Crafting store)
Today we are sharing our DT member, Jaihan’s inspirational project, which she has made using Tim Holtz’s amazing products. Here is a preview of her project, hop over to her blog to learn more about it.
Challenge closes in 13 days!
If you ever find yourself asking how to use a stencil, then, its time for some experimentation!
The beauty of all these gorgeous stencils lies in the many different, and fun ways, in which they can be used — you can use them as a mask on your project, or partially trace with them, or use them with modeling paste, or paint or ink sprays.. and the list goes on.
So today, Amina is sharing one such super fun technique. Hop over to her blog for a step by step pictorial tutorial on “how to” create fancy backgrounds using stencils.
Hello and Welcome to Artful Crafting’s first ever craft challenge.
A quick note for those wondering what Craft Challenges are and why Artful Crafting has gone the extra mile to create a team and host such challenges. With the trend of paper crafting rapidly growing within Pakistan, there are many “craft-ers” who, own the tools but don’t know how to use them, or have so many ideas that they can’t figure out which one to work on first. So to ease the mind, and channel those creative energies, we will be hosting themed challenges on a monthly basis. Not only will we challenge your creative mind, but we will share atleast 2 techniques, or product demos/reviews, or tips, over the course of each month. Please note that these challenges are purely for fun, and knowledge sharing.
How it will work
On the second Saturday of each month, we will announce a theme around which our talented DT will design and post projects to inspire you. You can participate in the challenges by submitting your themed creation using the linky below (The linky will be disabled automatically when the challenge ends, that is, on the first Saturday of the following month). Please read the challenge rules to ensure your entry meets the requirements.

The theme for our first challenge is “Stenciling”!
You are open to submit any project which incorporates textures, designs, or effects created using a “Stencil”; it can be a layout, a card, a box, a journal – anything really, just note that the use of the stencil should be clearly visible. Continue reading
