Another day of Distress Paints.

Today I’m sharing with you another card that I did with distress paints.

I wanted to try stamping with distress paints on kraft surface. I cut a 5.75×5.75 inch piece of Kraft card. I chose a bold flower stamp and applied Spiced Marmalade and Barn Door distress paints to the stamp and stamped onto kraft card. The images came out real nice with vibrant color. I stamped the same image on some book paper. I spritzed the stamp after applying distress paint this time round because I wanted text to show from under the paint and was happy that it turned out as I wanted it to.  I cut out the flowers.

I also stamped some smaller flowers with distress paints and cut these out as well.

I used  one of the Bo Bunny Lattice  die set to make a stencil out of cardstock. I applied Picked Raspberry distress paint through this stencil on the kraft card. I colored another diecut from the same set using Spiced Marmalade and Barn Door distress paints.  These were adhered to two opposing corners of the card.

Next I embossed a frame diecut with white embossing powder. This was done twice to achieve the look.I painted a piece of white cardstock with spiced marmalade and Picked Raspberry  Paints by directly dabbing these onto the card and swiping them on the surface. Once dry I stamped the sentiment ‘Take Time to Cherish The Special Moments’ with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I also white embossed the edges of this piece and added cream pearls.

I adhered the frame, cutout flowers and the sentiment piece to the card. I  adhered the kraft cardstock piece to the front of a 6×6 inch top-folding card. Lastly I added a white seam binding bow to the front of the card.

Some products used in this project.
